Why UPSC asks about Delhi
Delhi is river-and-ridge geography: the Yamuna's floodplain, the Aravalli ridge (the Delhi Ridge), and the NCT's ring of satellite towns. UPSC tests Delhi's special constitutional status (69th Amendment), the Yamuna's pollution, and the Aravalli's role in Delhi's ecology and groundwater.
