Why UPSC asks about Lakshadweep

Lakshadweep is India's smallest UT: coral atolls (Kavaratti, Minicoy, Agatti) in the Arabian Sea. UPSC tests atoll vs fringing-reef distinctions, the 9-degree channel (with Minicoy's separation), coral bleaching under the Blue Economy theme, and the contrast with the Andamans' volcanic origin.
