Why UPSC asks about Tripura
Tripura is the Bangladesh-bordered hill state: the Jampui hills (Betlingchhip), the Gumti river, and 84% of its border with Bangladesh. UPSC tests the state's enclave-exchange geography, the Gumti barrage dispute, and the bamboo-forest economy.
